Carl and Chris Middleswart. 

The beautifully decorated home of the month for December at 21689 State Route 676, Marietta is owned by Carl and Chris Middleswart. It is worth driving to see the holiday display they spend countless hours working on during this time of year.  The Middleswarts purchased the farmland  in 1971 after talking with friends who lived nearby and found it was going to be available.  They wanted to get out of the floodplain area and this location fit the bill.  They hired a contractor to  begin construction, put the house under roof and do the brickwork.  Carl then did the plumbing, wiring, HVAC and finished the home to their liking and they moved into the house in 1972. 

About 20 years ago they added a large living, 2 bedrooms and a bath to the home. and they later bought lots on both sides of the house for privacy.  They love the location which is close enough to all the amenities the town has to offer yet still has a country feel.  They love meticulously maintaining and decorating their lovely home and have no plans to leave it in the near future.
