Brett and Leslie Bronski

If Marietta had to be represented by one single house, it would be 629 3rd St. The style, the character, and the timelessness are all qualities it shares with our wonderful town. When one thinks of Marietta they often think of community and pride. These were the driving forces that motivated the owners, Brett and Leslie Bronski, to create what we see at the corner of 3rd and Sacra Via today. They have poured blood, sweat, and tears into modernizing their masterpiece without losing originality. The house itself was built in 1869 and was owned by the Beren family, the same Beren family that Marietta College named its tennis center after, for over half a century. The Bronski family came into possession in 2006 and they have been updating ever since. Some mentionable updates include a new roof, updated bathrooms, updated kitchen, six refinished fireplaces, refinished hardwood flooring, new landscaping, new 14’x17’ back deck, updated front porch, new AC, all new lighting, and a fresh coat of paint on every surface of the house inside and out. Out of the numerous updates one stands out amongst the rest as their favorite and that is the beautiful front door. Bret and Leslie have built something that the community can be proud of and are truly deserving of this recognition.
