The Marietta Board of REALTORS® would like to extend their Congratulations to the Bartlett Family for winning the July 2021 Home of the Month! Alan and Barb Bartlett moved from Harmar Hill to their new home in 1977. A coworker of Alan’s mentioned that he may want to sell the home built in 1968 where the land had been used for farming up to that point. This was a perfect opportunity for the family to have some more space and get even closer to where Alan’s grandparents lived at the time. With three growing children this house was the place to be. The pool in the backyard kept them and their friends close by. Over 4 decades has afforded the family time to do a couple of remodels including gutting the kitchen, adding a breakfast room, hardwood floors throughout including the stairs, and beautiful metal fencing. Even their son Matt, when he was young, added his own touch with a Koi pond. It continues to grow and still exists today. Four years ago they completely revamped the front yard, added new windows, new Celect siding, a deck for the pool, and a screened in porch. The Bartlett’s have enjoyed this house, raised their three children and now have six grown grandchildren. They have all been a part of this beautiful home and The Marietta Board of Realtors is honored to award them the Home of the Month for July 2021.
