The unusual muted purple color caught nominator Patti Finkel’s eye as it picked up the purple hues in the slate roof of 506 Fifth Street. A closer look reveals 1884 is outlined in the slate roof which is when Henry Raschen built this gem. This beauty is owned by Dick and Susan Feil, who restored the home and also created inviting and colorful gardens in the front, side and rear yards. Purchasing the house in 2002, Susan and Dick have undertaken much of the renovation and restoration themselves.
