Seven years ago Judy Phillips and Joyce Robinson were looking for a place to call home. After trips to Tennessee, Kentucky and other parts of Ohio, Marietta was chosen for its history, rivers, college town and county seat status. This house at 606 Washington Street was a dreary gray-white, faded and in need of some TLC. Over the next years they restored and renovated the interior. A colorful exterior and lush landscaping highlight the home’s charm. A new garage replaced the former stable which could not be saved.
Why did they pick this house? “We saw the possibilities.”
